MEP on blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station: Russia should be expelled from the UN
The United Nations is incapacitated because of Russia's presence as a member. The Russian Federation should be expelled from the UN, its membership in the organization is unacceptable.
Tomas Zdechovsky, a member of the European Parliament, a member of the special committee on foreign interference, including disinformation, said this in a comment to Guildhall.
"I hope that Russia will be expelled from the UN. Not as a member of the UN, but as a member of the European Parliament, I will say that we can put pressure on the UN, adopt relevant resolutions. The Russian presence at meetings where security issues and issues regarding Ukraine are resolved is absolutely unacceptable," the MEP said.
"The UN is an absolutely incapable organization, they are celebrating the Day of the Russian Language today. On the day Russia blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, they post it on their Twitter page. This is some kind of clowning," he said.
"From the very beginning of the war, and also now, I support the exclusion of Russia from the United Nations," Tomas Zdechovsky concluded.
Also, another member of the European Parliament, the representative of Germany, Viola von Cramon Taubadel, commenting on the incident, said that the explosion of the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant is a terrorist act committed by Russia, aimed at complicating the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and demonstrating the panic of the Russian regime.
